Dozens of passengers have been pictured waiting for hours to claim their luggage outside Edinburgh Airport during the sweltering heatwave.
The crowd were hoping to claim back their lost suitcases from aviation service Swissport. The airport has become overrun by a backlog of late arriving or unclaimed luggage after many were forced to abandon their cases instead of putting up with the delay.
This has lead Swissport to open a temporary storage facility near the airport for people to claim their cases, reports Edinburgh Live. Hundreds of passengers have been impacted by the backlog of luggage being held by the aviation service, which handles the baggage for airlines such as Jet2, Ryanair and TUI.
