Passengers have been evacuated from Edinburgh Waverley Station following an incident this afternoon.
According to Edinburgh Live, shocked punters were asked to leave the station at around 1:30pm on October 14 when an urgent message was delivered over the tannoy. The audio message informed passengers in Edinburgh of a "reported emergency", before instructing them to leave the station.
Scores of concerned passengers made their way toward the exits but say they were not told why they were evacuated.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live, one person said they had been given "no other information" apart from the tannoy, but had been "told to leave immediately."
The station was also evacuated last month in a similar fashion, with passengers waiting outside for half an hour due to an alarm being set off that forced a full evacuation.
British Transport Police and Network Rail were contacted for comment.
