The internet has been left divided after a passenger was captured taking a Covid rapid antigen test on the train.
A commuter was photographed waiting for his results on the T1 line train in Sydney, Australia.
The rider who was next to the man spoke of the horror that ensued after they saw the man holding the test firmly in his hands on public transport.
Posting the photo to Reddit, the user wrote: "I want to take a bath in hand sanitiser. Guy on the T1 train this morning casually taking a rapid antigen test (RAT) for his spicy cough."
To the shock of the original poster, the man in the picture can also be seen wearing his face mask incorrectly - while a nearby passenger is not wearing one at all.
This in itself has caused fury among viewers of the photo as face masks remain mandatory across the majority of public transport in New South Wales. This includes on trains and buses, however taxis only recommend their customers and drivers wear masks.
Redditors have taken to share their disgust at the photo and have slammed the man in question.
One person questioned whether the location was appropriate for taking the test, commented on the complete lack of respect for other commuters. They wrote: "Realistically, he probably just has to do it for work purposes and knows he'll test negative. Probably best not to do it on the train though."
Another said: "Ew, I understand not everyone has access to a car and maybe he was sent home with a RAT from work, but just wait until you get home, you don't need to know your results right this moment."
And a third put: "And at least wear the damn mask over your nose while you wait for the result."
While a fourth commented: "Two years into the pandemic and people still don't know basic facts about spreading disease. Humanity is doomed."
And a fifth disgustingly admitted: "Not the worst thing I've seen on Sydney trains.
"I'd much rather this than loud eaters, toe nail clipping, summoning and slurping back snot and man spreading."
Despite the majority of comments cliticizing the traveller, some have stuck up for him.
They noted that many people are required to take the Covid tests each day before work, and if he was on public transport it meant he did not have any symptoms of coronavirus.
