Raising a glass of wine in front of a table strewn with empty bottles in damning photographs, Boris Johnson is nailed as a liar who deliberately misled Parliament.
He was already the first Prime Minister in history to be fined as a lawbreaker over another lockdown breach at a birthday party.
Now Tory MPs will become his accomplices if they fail to sack a scoundrel treating them and the country with grotesque contempt.
Johnson had specifically denied the pictured party – for departing communications chief Lee Cain – took place on November 13, 2020.
Labour’s Catherine West had asked in the Commons: “Can the Prime Minister tell the House whether there was a party in Downing Street on 13 November?” Johnson lied: “No, but I’m sure whatever happened the guidance... and the rules were followed at all times.”
There was a party and the rules do not appear to have been followed.
Ahead of Sue Gray’s report, the Met Police must explain why Johnson was not fined again.
Johnson has built a career on lying and must be fired for failing to tell the truth. Again.
Act on dogs
How many more people must die before the Government acts on dangerous dogs?
A 62-year-old man has become the latest victim while the beast was euthanised by a vet at a property in Wrexham, north Wales, where, locals say, American Bullies were bred.
Fans of the breed insist they are good companions but another lost life requires a thorough investigation and review of the law.
Responsible pet owners have nothing to fear from a clampdown on killer dogs.
Get well soon
We wish a speedy recovery to all those people diagnosed with monkeypox, a virus which is usually confined to West and Central Africa.
But this is no Covid pandemic, so keep calm and carry on, unless you’ve had close contact with a victim – in which case the guidance says isolate for three weeks.
