Parts of UK to reach 21C this week as tropical weather hits

Brits could be in for an unusually warm autumn by the end of October, according to forecasters.

A burst of warm weather from Azores will send the mercury up to 21C in parts of the UK. Meanwhile, in Manchester, temperatures will be slightly warmer than usual from Thursday onwards, reaching the high teens.

Met Office meteorologist Aidan McGivern told LBC that the unusual temperatures is a direct result of warm air coming from the Azores and being sent north by the jet stream.
