Partick Thistle made it three successive wins after Oisin Smyth’s first-half penalty secured all three points with a 1-0 win at Ayr on Friday night.
After Mark Wilson’s team finished second in last season’s Scottish Championship and narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premiership, Thistle have made a slow start to the new campaign with three draws and a defeat to leaders Stenhousemuir.
