Kevin Rutkiewicz says talks aimed at keeping Chris Erskine at East Kilbride broke down because the timing wasn’t right.

Rutkiewicz says he couldn’t offer the 35-year-old a contract based on previous heights, after the winger took a break last season to pursue a career in the fire service.

The Kilby gaffer says there is no doubting the former Partick Thistle hero’s ability, but they couldn’t agree on terms.
