Partick Thistle have announced the funeral details for their former player Adam Strachan after the former Maryhill star's death earlier this month.
Making his Jags debut towards the end of the 2003/04 Premier League season, Strachan went on to make 111 appearances in red and yellow before having a nomadic career in the lower leagues. He passed away earlier this month at just 35 and now his family have communicated their wish for fans of his former club to attend his funeral.
A statement reads: "The family of Adam Strachan has asked the club to advise fans of the arrangements for Adam’s funeral on Monday 1st August Adam’s cortege will stop at Firhill at 9:30am to allow Adam a final visit to Partick Thistle. The funeral mass will take place at 10am at St Teresa of Lisieux church, 86 Saracen Street, Glasgow, G22 5AD then on to St Kentigern’s Cemetery, Tresta Road, Glasgow G23 5EE.

"All Thistle fans are welcome to be part of this day to honour and celebrate Adam’s life."
Firhill chief executive Gerry Britton said earlier this month: "It really is horrendous news and first and foremost our thoughts are with Adam’s family and those closest to him.
"It is of course sad and frustrating that he was unable to achieve his full footballing potential but other stories are for another time. Rest in peace, Adam, you were one of a kind.”
