Partially blind Busby woman living in fear after front window smashed by rocks

A partially blind woman from Busby was left 'shaken' after her front window was smashed by a rock.

The worried woman told Glasgow Live: "He had some rocks and tried to smash my back windows but none of them were broken.

"The rocks are still there. He then came round the front, however, I never saw what happened next because it takes me a while to come down the stairs.

"When I got to the bottom I saw that my window had been smashed. I was told that the person had stood in my front garden and threw rocks at my window."

Following the horrific ordeal, the victim is struggling to comprehend what happened, and has led to her and her daughter living in fear that the damage could be repeated.

The incident has been reported to police (supplied)

She said:"I'm really shaken up. Friday I couldn't even concentrate and never ate anything the whole day.

"My daughter was here at the time and she was really shaken up. I am still scared in my house."

The incident has been reported to police and enquiries are currently ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.05pm on Friday, 12 May, 2023, officers were called to a report of a disturbance and vandalism at a property on Easterton Avenue, Busby, Glasgow.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
