After Deepika Kumari did it first for the women in 2009, it was the turn of Parth Salunkhe to write history for the Indian men, becoming the first male archer from the country to become the Youth World Champion in recurve category.
Salunkhe's gold was part of the 11 medals won by India at the event, the most ever for the Indain contingent in the history of the championships.
