Cash-strapped workers could be looking for opportunities to make some extra money, and temporary part-time jobs can provide that. So, if you're looking for a bit more spending money so you can buy the perfect gift for someone, or to pad out the Christmas food shop, you can pick up some shifts this month.
Courier companies like Evri are looking for people to deliver parcels as they're expecting a busier period in the run up to Christmas, and retail opportunities are available throughout December.

Evri are looking for Delivery Drivers, who will receive a £500 welcome payment when they join. You'll also get a fuel allowance to cover the rising fuel cost. If you’ve the time, work longer hours - deliver more - earn more.
Supertemps Ltd is advertising for a Retail Sales Assistant in Cheshire Oaks, but you'll need previous retail experience in order to apply. The part-time role can take up either 20 or 30 hours of your week, depending on which shifts work for you, and pays £10.25 an hour.
Xander's Fish Bar Southport is looking for a Fish and Chips Counter Assistant / Waitress to work 16-25 hours a week. The shifts are pro rota and would include weekends, school holidays, and bank holidays. They're ideally looking for someone with previous experience, but say a can-do attitude is all you really need.
Proactive Personnel Ltd is advertising for a Weekend Cleaner, so this would be perfect for someone with commitments during the week. You'll be paid weekly and get £10.50 an hour to work 8am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday. Your duties will include office, toilet, and canteen cleaning as well as the shop floor.
Footasylum is looking for Christmas temporary Sales Assistants to work in the Liverpool One shops. Successful candidates will start straight away with a contract that will run until January 7, 2023. The ad says they're looking for someone with a passion for fashion retail and the company ethos, who can work independently as well as part of a team.
Decathlon also want a Christmas Temp for its L1 branch. The company pays £7 to £9.50 an hour and offers a cycle to work scheme, where you can get 25% off a bike of your choice if you use it to cycle to and from work.
Marks and Spencer is looking for an overnight Customer Assistant, with hours set out overnight starting from December 11, so you'll have to be free for the hours advertised. The right candidate will need to deliver a great shopping experience for customers, putting customers before task every time, and champion new ways of working within stores through an open mindset and positive attitude.
