Parkview Patients in Fort Wayne Can Request Refills Through MyChart Again, but Billing and Video Visits Stay Offline

Patients of Fort Wayne-based Parkview Health can again use MyChart to request prescription refills, send messages, schedule appointments, and receive appointment reminders, but online billing and video visits remain unavailable, according to a notice on Parkview's website. The health system said MyChart and its Find a Doctor search were restored "with some limitations" on Oct. 20, two days after it first told patients about a network outage. Parkview has not given a date for bringing the remaining services back.

The partial return matters most to people who manage chronic conditions, refill medications on a schedule, or rely on telehealth instead of driving to an office. Parkview serves Indiana and northwest Ohio through 16 hospitals and more than 300 outpatient centers and physician offices, according to DysruptionHub. Anyone with a video appointment this week may need to switch to a phone or in-person visit.
