Park in Clydebank locked down after woman is 'sexually assaulted'

Police have locked down a park in Clydebank after a woman was sexually assaulted.

Officers were alerted to the incident at Dalmuir Park in Clydebank at around 6pm on Tuesday, November 8. The park was sealed off with police tape this morning.

The force will remain in the area while they carry out investigations to 'establish the exact circumstances' of the alleged assault.

An appeal has been launched for anyone who may hold information linked to the case. A spokesperson for the force said: "Around 6pm on Tuesday, 8 November, 2022, officers received a report of a sexual assault of a 47-year-old woman in Dalmuir Park, Clydebank.

"Enquiries are at an early stage and ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. A police presence will remain in the local area while the investigation continues.

"Anyone who was in the area at the time, or has information, is asked to contact Police Scotland quoting incident number 2657 of Tuesday, 8 November, 2022."
