Gini Wijnaldum is set to be left out of Paris Saint-Germain's squad for their pre-season tour of Japan later this month - fuelling further speculation that the former Liverpool star could depart the Parc des Princes after a nightmare 12-month stint.
Wijnaldum was signed by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp in July 2016 and spent five years at Anfield before leaving last summer after he was unable to agree a new contract, later signing for the French heavyweights under their former manager Mauricio Pochettino.
However, since making the move to Ligue 1, things have gone from bad to worse for the Holland international as he struggled to nail down a regular place in Pochetino's starting XI, starting just 18 of the PSG's league games. Just last month further scrutiny was brought on Wijnaldum's maiden season in France as he was voted the Ligue 1 'Flop of the Year', receiving more than 100,000 votes.

And now his future in Paris has been plunged into further doubt as Pochettino's successor Christophe Galtier is set to leave the midfielder out of his squad for the club's pre-season tour of Japan. And Wijnaldum and eight of his team-mates - including former Everton man Idrissa Gueye - are to be placed on the transfer list, according to French publication L'Equipe .
Wijnaldum, Gueye, plus Mauro Icardi, Layvin Kurzawa, Julian Draxler, Ander Herrera, Junior Dina Ebimbe, Rafinha and Sergio Rico, are set to be left on home soil later this week, with L'Equipe sources labelling all nine players as "undesirable" in the eyes of Galtier, and will therefore remain in France while the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Co embark on the nine-day tour of Japan.
