Paris police arrest brawling Nice fans ahead of French Cup final, relegation showdown

Dozens of people were detained overnight in the French capital after a violent brawl involving fans of OGC Nice, further blemishing a torrid season for the Riviera team who face Lens in the French Cup final on Friday and must win a two-legged play-off next week to remain in Ligue 1.

Sixty-five people were taken into police custody after a huge brawl broke out late on Thursday in Paris involving supporters of OGC Nice, which left six people injured, including one seriously.
