The closing ceremony of the Paris Games will take place at the Stade de France, the athletics venue, on Sunday. This is in contrast to the ambitious opening ceremony held at the Seine river on July 26.
The organizers have largely succeeded in showcasing the beauty of Paris throughout the Games. Beach volleyball was played next to the iconic Eiffel Tower. However, holding events in the polluted Seine River proved to be more challenging.
