Hundreds of people gathered in Paris on Saturday to march in support of the right to abortion for women worldwide. This demonstration comes just six months after France became the first country to constitutionally guarantee a woman's right to voluntarily terminate a pregnancy.
The protest, organized by civil society groups to commemorate International Safe Abortion Day, aimed to advocate for greater and easier access to abortion services in France. Participants denounced budget cuts, staff reductions, and the closure of abortion centers and maternity wards, which they believe penalize women seeking reproductive healthcare.
