Four product recalls announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Oct. 8 share one thing: each could seriously hurt a young child in a way parents may not expect, from drowning and furniture tip-overs to swallowed batteries and magnets.
The recalls cover baby bath seats and six-drawer dressers sold on Amazon, LED light keys included with Giant SureLock bike locks, and a finisher medal from a virtual fitness challenge. Each product violates a mandatory federal safety standard. No injuries were reported for the bath seats, dressers, or LED keys, and the medal maker has received three reports of magnets coming loose.
