A summer camp leader who sexually abused young boys after lacing sweets with tranquilising drugs is a “sadistic, monstrous paedophile”, his wife has told a court as he was jailed.

Jon Ruben, 76, was sentenced to 23 years and 10 months in prison at Leicester Crown Court on Friday.
