Parents can snap up essentials from 99p as Aldi's baby and toddler event returns this weekend

Expecting and new parents can get stocked up on baby and toddler essentials as Aldi’s popular Mamia event is back this weekend . The baby and toddler event will see a number of must-have parenting products hit the Specialbuys aisle, with prices starting from 99p.

Everything from Next2Me cribs and changing baskets will be available to pre-order online from this Sunday, July 17, before most of the products hit stores the following Thursday (July 21).

But parents had better be quick to pick up these baby must-haves as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone.

If you’re dreading sleepless nights, Aldi’s range of nursery necessities are set to help little ones feel calm and comfortable at bedtime. Aldi’s Moses Basket with Rocking Stand is £34.99, and a classic nursery addition suitable for new-borns. The rocker is safe for overnight sleeping and is made from 100% cotton waffle fabric with a comfy padded surround.

It even includes a comfortable water resistant, breathable mattress to create a cosy sleeping space for little ones. The solid pine wood rocking stand also has a specially designed curved base to rock babies to sleep smoothly. Perfecto.

If you’d prefer to try co-sleeping, opt for the Chicco Next2Me Crib for £129.99 , complete with a specialised safety harness that attaches to bed frames to securely hold the crib in position. With six different height adjustments, it easily adapts to any bed, ideal for travelling, and it can even be used in a tilting mode to help support reflux and congestion.

Other sleep related products include the Baby Sleep Bag , which is less than a tenner and available in a variety of designs, as well as cosy Nursery Cushions for £6.99 and the £12.99 Baby Blanket.

Changing babies may not be every parent’s favourite part of the day, but Aldi’s got the answer to keeping little ones from wriggling away. Offering a safe and secure environment for parents to change little ones, Aldi’s Changing Basket can be used on any flat surface, while its compact size makes it ideal for smaller settings, costing less than £25.

They also have a £12.99 Wedge Change Mat complete with anti-roll wedge sides and a wipe-clean, waterproof surface and the £10 Nappy Bin for quick nappy disposal.

For play time, there’s the £13 Tummy Time Roller featuring a super-soft pillow packed with features to help babies develop, stimulating their senses and strengthening the upper body.

For even more fun, parents will love the Play Gym, complete with toys, music and lights for £19.99.

As baby starts to grow, parents can pick up the Bumper Jumper , which is suitable for babies 6 to 12 months. The sturdy doorway jumper costs £29.99 and attaches to any door frame with a no-mark clamp, meaning parents can take the baby from room to room and keep them bouncing.

The added play tray means tots can keep their favourite toys close by, while the nylon seat pad can be easily removed and is machine washable to make cleaning a breeze. Once a baby hits 12 months, they’ll love the Wooden Animal Rocker , available in a choice of elephant or giraffe design. This is £39.99 and both are online only products.

Aldi’s Mamia Baby and Toddler Event is available to pre-order online from July 17 and in-stores from July 21, while stocks last. You can shop Aldi’s parenting collection here.
