Parents and children have been left distraught after a soft play centre located in Shawlands closed its doors for the final time.
The beloved Whale of a Time soft play has taken to social media to announce it shut down the venue on Pollokshaws Road last weekend.
It was primarily focussed on educational fun for those under the age of 11 and hosted many birthday parties during its time at the rear of Shawlands Arcade.

The company stated: "We would like to thank all the customers who have supported us in the last few months, however, with a fall in visitor numbers and issues with the landlord and previous owners it's making it difficult for us to move forward with growing the business which has made us come to the decision to close Whale of a Time Glasgow."
Many upset families have taken to the comments to share their memories of the iconic three slides and fun-filled obstacle course.
One commented: "So, so, sad to hear this. I used to come to this soft play as a child and had many of my own birthday parties here, as did my husband. We started bringing our son to Whale Of A Time and it has became his favourite soft play too, were planning his third birthday party to be here."
Another agreed: "Sorry to hear this.
"You've been a lifeline on many a rainy day when my son needed to let off some steam and I didn't want to drive to a bigger place. You'll be missed."
Whale of a Time still remain hopeful of returning to the heart of the community.
In response to one comment they wrote: "We have expressed to the landlord how important the soft play centre is for children's interaction, growth, learning and exercise and its an important need for the community, however, they are not interested.
"Hopefully they will see this post and reconsider. All staff have been given the option to transfer over to our other play centre until we find another venue or the landlord reconsiders."
The owners have redirected many customers to their Go Wild Soft Play on James Street.
