A street in Manchester city centre was closed off on Sunday afternoon (December 18) after a woman was hit by a bus. Paramedics raced to the scene on Church Street shortly after 3pm.
Buses were diverted temporarily as police cordoned off the street. Pictures from the scene show an ambulance in attendance, as well as officers from Greater Manchester Police.
The road remained closed for around an hour before the scene was later cleared. The force added that no arrests were made in connection with the incident.

The woman hit by the bus was aged in her 20s. The nature of her injuries are yet to be confirmed, but the North West Ambulance Service have been contacted for further details.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 3.15pm today (18 December) police were called to assist NWAS after reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and bus on Church Street in Manchester City centre. No arrests have been made."
