Australia’s joint flag-bearer Madison de Rozario is in action as para athletics begins on day two at the 2024 Paralympic Games, with Corey Anderson among the medal hopes in the men’s javelin F38 in Paris.
Emily Petricola and Darren Hicks will be strong contenders in the women’s and men’s 3000m individual pursuit as para cycling continues on the track.
But the Rollers need a win to kickstart their campaign in men’s wheelchair basketball, and the Steelers are also searching for a first victory in wheelchair rugby.
Australia made a flying start with four medals in the pool on day one including gold to Tom Gallagher. Timothy Hodge and Keira Stephens will now carry Australia’s hopes in para swimming into the second day, along with the mixed 4x50m freestyle relay team.
