When you think of Honda, what color(s) do you picture? Chances are excellent that Honda Red is top of mind, possibly followed hot on its heels by the Honda Racing Corporation tricolor. Those are totally valid; the company has, after all, spent literal decades training us to associate those colors with its branding. Plentiful vehicle launches have featured one of those two colorways, as well. I mean, why have brand colors if you aren't going to use them?
In a moto landscape that I (and others) feel could frequently stand to be more colorful, I have some good news for you for 2026, particularly if you're in Europe. While it probably won't surprise you to learn that no major mechanical changes have been brought to the 2026 MY Honda Monkey, Dax, or Super Cub, the good news on the minimoto front is that color is back, baby.
Especially on the Dax. Now, it's had some pretty great colors since its reintroduction; that much is true. That bright, sparkly blue? Chef's kiss. No notes; I love how it looks, top to bottom.
But for 2026, Honda decided to take a walk on the orange side. Here, orange isn't the new black, but it does play a nice contrast with the black accents on the Dax for a look that'll turn heads all year long; not only in October.
Maybe it's all the winter blahs talking, but to my mind, this Candy Energy Orange announcement couldn't come a moment too soon. It's not just the Dax, either; the Monkey also adds a little spicy mustard colorway to its frame.
Sorry, no, Honda calls that color "Banana Yellow," which might even be better. The crisp, bright yellow undergirds the dominant Pearl Himalayas White paint found on the tank and side covers, for a look that's the sweetest thing this side of Pom Pom Purin's pudding shop.

Is it any wonder that Honda also adds that it's expecting to cross the 25,000 Monkeys sold (well, since its reintroduction, anyway) in 2026? Maybe the only puzzler there is that they didn't pass that milestone sooner, to my mind. But it's only been back since 2018, so maybe that math makes sense.
For 2026, the Super Cub went a bit stealthier with a chosen color combination of Premium Silver Metallic and Pearl Sugarcane Beige, complete with a brown and cream two-tone leather seat as the proverbial cherry on top. And, you know, that kind of makes me think Chococat.
What do you say, Honda? I know you're keen on the Sanrio collabs; it'd be super easy to work Purin and Chococat graphic kits in there on both those bikes, and I bet you'd sell a ton in multiple markets.
