Adam Thielen is still catching passes from Minnesota Vikings quarterbacks.
On Monday, the Carolina Panthers wideout posted the following video to his Instagram page—one that features this year’s 10th overall pick and Vikings rookie J.J. McCarthy:
Thielen, who is entering his second campaign in Carolina, spent a decade of his NFL career with the Vikings. In that time, the Detroit Lakes, Minn. native and Minnesota State University product reeled in 534 balls for 6,682 yards and 55 touchdowns as well as a pair of Pro Bowl nods.
Carolina hosted Minnesota in Week 4 of this past season, a matchup Thielen admittedly had some trouble comprehending.
“Yeah, it’s gonna be interesting,” Thielen said ahead of the game. “It’s already been a little bit weird, honestly. Startin’ the game plan, talkin’ about the defense and then seein’ ’em on tape. I’ve never, obviously, game-planned for our defense—or the Vikings defense, I should say.”
The Vikings and their defense triumphed that day, holding off the Panthers at Bank of America Stadium for a 21-13 win.
