Carolina Panthers wideout Adam Thielen has been in the NFL long enough to know how the rumor mill works.
With his team nowhere near playoff contention and the league’s trade deadline just a few days away, the 34-year-old pass catcher may be facing the prospect of a move. Thielen was asked about a potential trade on Monday:
Adam Thielen says he’s focused on getting healthy and not on trade deadline. “That’s why you have an agent and a G.M.”
Thielen says he loves the Panthers and thinks they want him to stay, but also knows it’s not like he has another 10 years still ahead of him.

According to a report by ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter, Thielen was one of a handful of receivers the Pittsburgh Steelers recently checked on. Nonetheless, he seems much more focused on his recovery from a hamstring injury than he does a swap.
Head coach Dave Canales was asked if Thielen could be available to play soon.
“They’re trending that way,” Canales said of Thielen and outside linebacker D.J. Wonnum. “But again, ya know, we have to make sure we get to the practices, see them go full speed, feel really good about where they’re at before we make that decision.”
Thielen has not suited up since injuring his hamstring in Week 3.
