The Carolina Panthers still don’t know if they’ll be able to finish their run at an NFC South title with one of their best players.
On Wednesday, interim head coach Steve Wilks told reporters that cornerback Jaycee Horn—who underwent surgery on his broken wrist yesterday—will be have to be reevaluated to determine his status for the remainder of the season.
“The surgery went well,” Wilks said. “Right now, we have a reevaluation in 10 to 12 days. And at that point, we’ll determine and figure out whether or not there’s a possibility he’ll have a chance to even continue to finish and play the rest of the year.”
This, obviously, would take Horn out of Sunday’s huge matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wilks also couldn’t confirm if Horn would be able to suit up for the regular-season finale against the New Orleans Saints in Week 18.
