The Carolina Panthers are looking for James Campen’s replacement.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the team has requested to speak with Las Vegas Raiders assistant offensive line coach Cameron Clemmons in regards to leading their position group. Clemmons, who Rapoport describes as an “impressive candidate,” is the first name to pop up in Carolina’s search for a new offensive line coach.
A former offensive tackle himself, Clemmons was a four-year starter at Western Kentucky University from 2011 to 2014. He’d go on to have a cup of coffee as a pro, signing with the then-San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2015 and playing one year in the Canadian Football League shortly after.
Clemmons has since picked up stints as an offensive intern at Eastern Kentucky University, a graduate assistant at the University of Tennessee and an offensive quality control coach and assistant offensive line coach for the Raiders.
