Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young just had himself quite the day against the New York Jets defense. But it’d be nice if he also knew exactly what day it was.
The 23-year-old chatted with reporters following Thursday morning’s joint practice in Charlotte. When talking about how the support of the fans have helped the team through another grueling summer, Young had trouble recalling which month we’re currently in—proving that training camp brain is, in fact, real.

Well, Aug. 15, 2024 was a fine day for Young—who shined in practice against one of the league’s top defenses. The 2023 No. 1 overall pick tossed for multiple touchdowns on the morning, putting in what may have been his best performance of the offseason.
He spoke about the session afterwards.
“I thought it was a really good opportunity for us to compete against a really good defense,” Young stated. “Obviously, just bringing in new guys, new color, a chance for us to compete as a unit, too, as a team. Us both rooting for each other. Obviously during camp, you get offense versus defense.
“But I think it was a great opportunity. I thought we did some good stuff, some stuff to learn from. So, overall, I thought it was really productive.”
Sounds like a day to remember.
