All seven of Penrith's State of Origin players will be rested in round 18, regardless of their levels of involvement in the series decider at Suncorp Stadium.
Panthers coach Ivan Cleary confirmed Nathan Cleary, Isaah Yeo, Jarome Luai, Liam Martin, Brian To'o, Api Koroisau and Stephen Crichton would all miss Sunday's NRL clash with Wests Tigers, who hope to pounce on the under-strength premiers as they did in last year's Origin period.
"None of them are playing. They've all been told to stay away for a week. I don't want to see them," Ivan Cleary said on Tuesday.
Cleary had been considering resting players for the Tigers game at CommBank Stadium since before the Origin period began and is likely to bring Kurt Falls and Sean O'Sullivan into the halves for round 18.
Falls and O'Sullivan led the Panthers to victory at five-eighth and halfback against Canterbury in round 13, when Cleary and Luai were in the Blues' Origin camp.
Mitch Kenny will slot into hooker in place of Koroisau, who is vacating the No.9 jersey at the end of the season to join the Tigers.
"(The decision to rest players) was certainly confirmed after we played the Bulldogs without our Origin boys," Cleary said.
"I thought the boys that played that night did really well.
"Luckily, we've been able to win our games since then, so all things considered with the big build up to this game three tomorrow night and the big workload that they've had, they won't get another chance to have a break."
Penrith will name their official team at 4pm (AEST).
