The Carolina Panthers are up to 15 members for their initial 2023 practice squad.
As announced by the team on Friday morning, the signings of offensive tackle David Sharpe and running Jashaun Corbin are now official. Both additions had been reported on this past Wednesday—with Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic on Sharpe and Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News on Corbin.
Buy Panthers TicketsSharpe, now the fourth hog molly on the Carolina practice squad, was a fourth-round pick of the then-Oakland Raiders in 2017. The University of Florida product played in five games during his rookie campaign with a pair of starts before being waived prior to the start of the 2018 season.
He went on to pick up stops with the Houston Texans, a second with the Raiders, the then-Washington Football Team and, most recently, the Baltimore Ravens. The 6-foot-6, 330-pound tackle has appeared in a total of 37 games over his five NFL seasons.
Corbin signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He was the second-leading rusher for the Giants this summer, with 51 yards on 16 attempts.
The Panthers now have one open spot remaining on the practice squad.
