Well, how about dessert, then?
As first reported by Joe Person of The Athletic yesterday, the Carolina Panthers were not able to have a pre-pro day dinner—as they did for the three previous top quarterback prospects—with University of Florida’s Anthony Richardson. The logistics of the team’s trek back from the Annual League Meeting in Phoenix, Ariz. made that rather difficult.
They did, however, make it back in time last night to at least speak with Richardson—who actually dined with the Las Vegas Raiders, per NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.
Florida QB Anthony Richardson met Wednesday night with the #Panthers — and also had dinner with the #Raiders, per sources. Carolina has the No. 1 pick, while Las Vegas is No. 7.

Richardson’s outing today in Gainesville, Fla. will be the fourth and final leg of what’s been an extensive quarterback pro day tour for the Carolina braintrust. And they also, as noted by team staff writer Augusta Stone, have a healthy contingent on hand—just like they had for Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud, Alabama’s Bryce Young and Kentucky’s Will Levis.
