Kolkata has roughly 2,500 community pujas during Durga Puja week, and the temptation is to treat the city as a single open map. It is not. North Kolkata and South Kolkata run on different crowds, different aesthetics, and different transport logic. Trying to do both in one night means spending three hours in a bus that has stopped moving on AJC Bose Road while the pandals you came to see are an hour away in either direction.
