Pamela A Love Story: How to watch, episodes, what it's about and what Pamela Anderson thought of Pam and Tommy

One year after the release of Pam & Tommy on Disney+ the woman whose story was told in the eye-popping drama is releasing her own documentary, Pamela Anderson's Pamela, A Love Story, will tell the story from the point of view of the 1990s Playboy and Baywatch icon.

Here's a quick guide to Pamela, a Love Story which is released on Netflix on January 31.

The synopsis of the documentary says that the show is "An intimate and humanizing portrait of one of the world’s most famous blonde bombshells, Pamela, a love story follows the trajectory of Pamela Anderson’s life and career from small town girl to international sex symbol, actress, activist and doting mother."

What has Pamela said about the controversial Disney+ drama?

The 55-year-old actress and model had no involvement in the making of Pam & Tommy, which covered the fall out of her sex tape made with ex-husband, Tommy Lee, and which was then stolen. At the time of its release she kept quiet, but her discovery that the show was in production is featured in Pamela, A Love Story, and she has spoke about it since.

“Nobody knew the truth – even I don’t know 100% of what happened, but I think what is most important is to share my human feelings and how much it hurt and how it undeniably defined me moving forward – in my career and my relationships," she said last December at Netflix's Tudum event. “I was very hesitant, but looking back, I feel empowered. And I hope that [my story] inspires people to have a great f*cking time and not worry so much.”
