Palestinians living in tents at a soccer stadium in Gaza City are appealing to the international community for assistance as Israel continues its strikes on the enclave. The displaced individuals, hailing from northern Gaza areas such as Beit Lahiya, Beit Hanoun, and Jabalya, have sought refuge in the stadium due to escalating hostilities in the region over the past two weeks.
One resident, Khadra Nabhan, expressed the deep attachment to her home in Beit Lahiya, emphasizing the urgent need for global intervention to halt the ongoing conflict. Nabhan highlighted the devastating impact on families like hers, having been displaced multiple times amid the violence, with their homes destroyed and facing dire living conditions.
“We call on the world, the international community, and the Arab world to stand with us, end this war, facilitate our return to our homes, and ensure the well-being of our children who are at risk of hunger and starvation,” Nabhan stated.
Another displaced individual, Hussein Nabhan, echoed these sentiments, underscoring the urgent need for solidarity and support from the international community during these challenging times.
The plea from these displaced Palestinians sheds light on the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza, where families are enduring immense hardships and uncertainty. As the conflict persists, the call for assistance and protection for civilians, particularly children, grows more urgent.
