Sham Abu Tabaq, a 5-year-old girl, has faced unimaginable hardships in her young life. Witnessing war, being forced from her home, and losing her father and sister to violence are just some of the traumas she has endured.
However, Sham's story takes a unique turn when her mother, Sanaa, recounts an encounter with an Israeli soldier during a moment of crisis. Despite blaming the Israeli military for the loss of her loved ones, Sanaa acknowledges that a soldier showed mercy and helped save her life.
