Crystal Palace have strengthened their youth ranks after completing a deal to sign Bohemians defender Sean Grehan.
The 18-year-old centre-back has signed a two-year deal with the Eagles after impressing during a trial period last term. Grehan becomes the second signing for the club’s academy this summer following the arrival of defensive midfielder Cormac Austin from Linfield.
After winning the under-17 Irish league with Bohemians in 2020, Grehan was promoted to the club’s first-team. He made his competitive debut at senior level in an FAI Cup first round clash against Corinthians in July last year.

The Dublin-born defender was also included in six matchday squads in the early rounds of the Europa Conference League last term but was an unused substitute. Grehan is a Republic of Ireland youth international, with five appearances at U18 and U19 level.
After completing a permanent move to Palace for an undisclosed fee, Grehan said: “I’m absolutely buzzing. I can’t wait to get going this season, to start playing matches again, and to show the club what I can do.”
Grehan played in two U18 Premier League matches for Palace during his trial period, playing a full 90 minutes against Brighton and Fulham. Palace academy director Gary Issott added: “Sean is a talented defender who has impressed on trial and has secured a well-deserved place at the academy. We wish him the best of luck for his time with us.”
