NEW DELHI: Karachi's streets were filled with jubilant residents celebrating Arshad Nadeem's historic achievement of securing Pakistan's first-ever individual Olympic gold medal in Paris.
The 27-year-old javelin thrower's remarkable performance, which included an Olympic record-breaking throw of 92.97m, ended Pakistan's 4-year gold medal drought since the hockey team's triumph in the 1984 Los Angeles Games.
