A Paisley woman brandished a screwdriver at cops.
Danielle Campbell, 25, dialled 999 and requested police on May 19 last year but then terminated the call.
Once cops traced Campbell, of Brediland Road, to check on her welfare, she repeatedly told them to “f**k off” and brandished a screwdriver at them, making “stabbing” motions.
On Tuesday, the procurator fiscal told Paisley Sheriff Court: “Around 9.05pm on May 21, police officers were tasked to attend George Street in relation to a dropped 999 call that the accused had requested police.
“Officers attended and found nobody to be making themselves known.
“Police contacted the accused and she stated she no longer needed them and she once again terminated the call.
“Campbell was traced standing on the path near to George Street at Abbey Vets.
“She was observed to be on the phone and, as officers approached, she hung up and shouted, ‘You’ve seen me, I don’t need yous, f**k off’.
“Campbell was then advised officers had attended to check her wellbeing and, at that time, she presented a small screwdriver and was holding it up to officers stating, ‘f**k off, f*****g mon then’, as she was thrusting her shoulders forward and making stabbing gestures.
“She was repeatedly told to stop and she continued to shout, ‘f*****g mon then’ and she continued to thrust forward.
“The accused was taken to the prone position and she again shouted ‘f**k yous’.
“She was then arrested and conveyed to hospital but she wasn’t formally cautioned and charged at the time due to her conduct.”
Defence agent Michael McKeown told the court this incident occurred “almost immediately” after being released from Leverndale Hospital, Glasgow.
Mr McKeown added: “She then returned to the hospital for a short time. There has been no offending since and she is quite stable in the community now.”
Sheriff Lindsay Kooner said: “Sheriff Ward who previously heard this case deferred for you to be of good behaviour, and you have been.”
Campbell was admonished and dismissed.
