Paisley Food and Drink Festival to bring two days of top street food this weekend

An exciting food and drink festival with over 30 top vendors is set to bring some of Scotland's top street food to Paisley's streets this weekend.

Thousands of food fans are set to descend on the streets of the thriving town this weekend to enjoy tasty treats, including pizza, hot dogs, burgers, Greek street food and ice cream at this year's Paisley Food and Drink Festival.

There will also be licensed bars and a packed programme of live music to keep people entertained over the two days of the Festival which runs on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22.

Vibrant independent street food market, Platform, is returning to this year’s event, bringing along a host of street food vendors offering delicious dishes from around the globe.

General manager at Platform, Kathryn McCormick, said: “We are delighted to be back at Paisley Food and Drink Festival with Platform on Tour for our third year.

“It’s our first outdoor event of 2023 and one of our favourites. We’ll be bringing some amazing independent traders and our huge seating area and bar serving up all your faves, including our frozen cocktails.

Taking place on Abbey Close and Bridge Street in Paisley town centre, there will also be local traders offering exciting wares with people able to head along for free from 4 pm – 10 pm on Friday and 12 noon – 9 pm on Saturday.

Posting about it on the website, the team added: "We’ll also have a full programme of live music and entertainment as well as children’s cooking workshops. It’s set to be a delectable day out for all – you can even bring your dog."

Foodies can enjoy the likes of Edin-Burgers, Fire & Dough, Fries Guys, Funky Fudge, Three Sisters Bake and Scozzese Pizza, while Platform will bringing along legendary vendors like The Peruvian, Shawarmarama and Moskito Bites.

Renfrewshire CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) will also be hosting a dedicated Beer Tent at Bridge Street, while the Platform Bar, The Rum Shack and Two Towns Down Brewing will also be in attendance.
