A Paisley charity is holding cooking classes for women who love to cook and share recipes.
Kairos Women+ is holding the cross-culture course, which begins in October and runs through to December, in the hope to bring black, Asian and ethnic minority women and non-binary people together.
This will be one of the first meet-ups the charity has held since the Coronacirus restrictions have been lifted.

Katy Wilson-Scott, manager at Kairos Women+, said: “Before lockdown, we used to pass recipes during our drop-in sessions and then we got a little funding to create some cookery classes.
“The lockdown happened and we adapted and did everything online. We shared recipes from across the world and we also made a cook book. We were lucky to get some funding from the Womens’ Fund Scotland to create two blocks of ten sessions over the next year.
“We are wanting to include our black and ethnic minority groups in Renfrewshire to not only cook food and eat food, but also share cultural traditions and ingredients. It is like a family-style event where we can sit around a big table and talk about food.
“It gets us together after lockdown because we have not been able to sit around the table with each other for a long time. It would be really wonderful to do that.”
Kairos Women+ was founded in 2017 as a project as part of the larger charity The Robertson Trust.
It was founded to give women the chance and opportunity to achieve their goals and give them the chance to give back to the community.
The charity has blossomed since then and has created more projects to include more women and those who identify as non-binary.
Katy explains: “We wanted to create something that could support women, but it was not about referrals or women having particular issues or anything to come along.
“There are lots of ways for women to get involved with us and think about what they might like to do, like if they have had a change in their lives or want to give back to the community.”
On top of the ten-week cooking classes, Kairos Women+ are also looking to do some baking sessions for the whole community in November.
