Paisley attempted murder probe launched after man found seriously injured in street

An attempted murder probe has been launched after a man was discovered with life-threatening injuries in Paisley.

Police were called to Ferguslie Park Avenue at the junction with Barochan Way around 9.40pm on Friday following reports of a man being found with serious injuries.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and a 43-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident is being treated as attempted murder and enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Sergeant Buxton of Paisley CID said: “We are appealing to members of the public who witnessed the man being attacked to get in touch with officers.

“We also ask that drivers with DashCam footage pass it on to police.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 quoting Police Incident 3843 of 10th June 2022.”
