Pair charged with spying on Jewish targets in London

London Iran National Security

Two men, Nematollah Shahsavani and Alireza Farasati, have been charged under the National Security Act for allegedly assisting a foreign intelligence service linked to Iran.
The charges relate to alleged surveillance of locations and individuals connected to the Jewish community in London.
Shahsavani, 40, is a dual Iranian and British national, while Farasati, 22, is an Iranian national.
The alleged offences occurred between 9 July 2025 and 15 August 2025, with the men arrested on 6 March.
They are scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, while two other men arrested in the investigation have been released without charge.
