Paige Turley shot to fame on the sixth season of Love Island, but the star was on our screens long before then.
The 24-year-old West Lothian native made her TV debut long before the ITV dating show, as she first appeared on Britain's Got Talent and wowed the judges when she was just 15.
As well as both TV shows, Paige is also known for her relationship with Lewis Capaldi, after the pair met when they studied together at Motherwell College.
Now, her life is completely different in just a few short years, and Paige and is living in Manchester with her Love Island winning beau Finley Tapp.
Let's take a look at how Paige went from wowing the judges on Britain's Got Talent, to winning Winter Love Island in 2020..
Britain's Got Talent
Paige covered indie classic Skinny Love for her Britain’s Got Talent audition.
While she introduced it as a song by Birdy, the original version of the song was released in 2007 by Bon Iver.
Birdy covered the song four years later, in 2011.
The judges praised Paige’s song choice, with Alesha Dixon describing her as ‘adorable’, adding that her song choice was ‘so different and refreshing.’
Following her successful first audition, Paige progressed to the semi-finals where she performed It Will Rain by Bruno Mars.
She failed to sweep the judges off their feet, however, and Amanda Holden and Alesha described her performance as slightly underwhelming.
Despite this, Simon and David were more forgiving, with David praising her ‘big voice, coming from such a little girl.’
Lewis Capaldi
Paige dated Lewis when the two studied together at North Lanarkshire College.
.In a radio interview in New Zealand, he joked he would like a cut of her £50,000 prize fund if she wins, joked: “The prize is like, £50,000.
“And I’ll be like, ‘Well, they asked you to go on it, I’m not saying I’m the reason but, also, sling me a couple of grand.’”
He said their split was “amicable” and they have known each other “for years.”
Capaldi added: “I’ve known her for years, we were 18 when we first met, 19 when we first started going out and 20 when we finished going out.
“It was fairly amicable, the split. She never told me she was going on the show.
“That would have been a nice heads up! But I mean fair play, good luck to her.”
Asked whether he’ll be watching it, he replied: “Aye, I’ll be watching it and going, ‘Go on Paige! Come on, come on!’
“And when she’s on a date with a boy I’ll go ‘Come on! Kiss him!’ I hope she wins.”
When asked about Paige during an interview with The Independent, Capaldi said: “Everyone thinks ‘Someone You Loved’ is about Paige, it’s actually ‘Bruises’, and a bunch of other songs on the album that are about [Paige], but ‘Someone You Loved’ is about my grandma.
He continued: “This sounds very crass, but when you go out with a singer they can write songs about you and make money from that. So she’s got every right to talk about it, too.”
The West Lothian singer confirmed again that the song wasn't about Paige when he collected his BRIT Award for Song Of The Year in 2020.
Swigging from a bottle of Buckfast, he aid: "Contrary to popular belief, a lot of people think this song is about my ex-girlfriend, who you can now see every night on Love Island."
"It's actually about my grandmother who has sadly passed away a few years ago.
"I hope to god that ITV don't contact her to be on a reality TV dating show."
Paige has been with boyfriend Finley Tapp since they coupled up in the Love Island villa in 2020.
Love Island
Paige had many good moments on Love Island, but one of her best would have been showing off her vocals at the talent show.
She took the villa by storm when she sang 90s house classic Show Me Love by Robin S.
When Paige first entered the villa, she coupled up with Ollie on day one before he chose to leave the show just a few days in.
After that, Paige was left single but luckily for her - Finley entered the show on day five, picked her for a date and the rest is history.
Paige and Finn recoupled at every opportunity while in the villa, and even became boyfriend and girlfriend during their time on the show.
Influencer
Paige told BBC One More Tune's Kerr Okan that she has struggled to be taken seriously as a musical artist since leaving the ITV reality show, despite her huge platform.
She said: "I think a lot of people thought that coming from the show would be this huge advantage because I've got a platform and people that follow me.
"But if anything it's more difficult I've found. It's a bit of a double-edged sword.
"I've got this platform but people don't know me for music so it's been challenging but hopefully in the long run it pays off.
"A lot of the audience that are there just now want to see what you're wearing, they want to see how you're styling your hair.
"So if you put on anything music-related they don't know you or follow you for that.
"It's then trying to find additional fans that are there for the music as well as what I wear my hair like or what I wear my clothes like."
Finley Tapp
Paige and Finn have been going from strength to strength since leaving the villa.
Shortly after the show ended, the couple moved in together down south as they have settled in Manchester.
The West Lothian local opened up about how the pandemic brought the couple closer together.
She said: “Covid helped us as a couple. There are quite a lot of couples from our series who have stayed together whereas in previous years they’ve been crazy busy and not had time to get to know each other.
“For the three weeks we were out of the villa before lockdown happened I was up in Scotland and Finn was down south and we were just like ships passing in the night.
“Then, for nearly a year, there were no personal appearances, parties or clubbing opportunities, which definitely helped us strengthen our relationship.”
She added: “Apart from the football, I’ve turned Finn Scottish. He’s a fan of square sausage and he is getting good at the lingo. I have no regrets about Love Island. I hope this year’s islanders are as lucky as me and find their special someone.”
Last year Finn told The Sun that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Paige.
He said "Paige is deffo the one, I’m deffo going to be the one to pop the question.
"I've got a plan, I’m not putting a timescale on it, it’s when the time is right.
"But within the next two years or so.
"Paige and I have always spoken about an abroad wedding, we might do two weddings, a close intermediate wedding with family and then a big party here with everyone."
Finn also teased that he'd love to start a family by the age of 25 but is also in no rush.
He said: "I'm 22 now, I would say around 25 I want kids. But if it doesn’t feel right, I’m not going to be counting down the days.
"I’m from 4 children, I’d like two or three children. Maybe a son where I can train him.
"I might just call my son Finley or Finley junior."
