Irish bookies Paddy Power is offering some lucky punters a free flexi-ticket to the Punchestown Festival next month.
The bookmaker is hosting a “flagship fanzone” in The Camden on Camden Street next week, named the Paddy Power Cheltenham Bunker.
The first 100 punters to enter the venue over the two days will earn themselves a flexi-ticket for the festival, as well as a pair of “lucky pants”.
A spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “A pair of PP lucky pants – made (in)famous over the years by sports stars as diverse as Floyd Mayweather and Nicklas Bendtner - to give those punters in The Camden that extra, eh, rub of the green?
“This year, Ireland are massive odds on at an astonishing 1/12 to retain the Prestbury Cup – a trophy celebrating the famous friendly rivalry between Irish and British trained horses competing at Cheltenham and given to the country with the most winners at the end of the week,” they said.
At their fanzone, racing experts will be available to give their top tips, including Paul Carberry, who found himself in the winning enclosure 14 times.
The spokesperson said: “Think, pints, pants, pundits and likeminded punters – all standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Festival legends like Fran Berry, Paul Carberry, the best tipsters and plenty of craic watching some of the most courageous horses in the world on Europe’s biggest indoor 4k screen.
“If you can’t be in Cheltenham, you’ll want to be in The Camden. It doesn’t get much better than this.”
Paddy Power’s Cheltenham fanzone takes place on March 17 and 18, with tickets costing €20 per day.
