Liverpool MMA star Paddy Pimblett has sent a message to Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott after his goal against Cardiff City.
A huge Liverpool fan, Pimblett congratulated Elliott on his comeback performance, which he marked with a wonderfully taken volley into the bottom corner.
The 18-year-old Elliott made a terrific start to the season having seized the first-team opportunity handed to him by Reds manager Jurgen Klopp.
But he was sidelined for four months after suffering a serious ankle injury against Leeds United in September.
After a lengthy period of rehabilitation Elliott made a sensational return to Anfield on Sunday and Pimblett has tipped the teenager to achieve great things.
He said on Twitter: "What a finish this was, wouldn't think he had been injured for months some talent this fella yanno gonna do biggggg things in a red shirt."
Pimblett and Elliott are already acquainted, following each other's accounts on social media.
It's been a simply incredible six months for Pimblett, who has become an immediate superstar since his UFC debut in September.
Paddy 'the Baddy' returns to the octagon at UFC London next month, where he will fight Mexican Rodrigo 'Kazula' Vargas.
But his ultimate goal is fighting at Anfield.
The 27-year-old recently told the ECHO : "I know I'm going to fight at Anfield, lad. I have seen all this happening in my head. It's going to happen one day."
