Paddy Pimblett has shown off a new ripped physique and insists he is "ready to kill" in his next UFC appearance.
'The Baddy' will fight in the UFC for the third time next weekend against Jordan Leavitt at the promotion's second London event this year. Pimblett picked up his second victory against Kazula Vargas back in April but ballooned to 200lb after going on a junk food binge to celebrate his success shortly afterwards.
Pimblett entered training camp needing to trim 44lb to meet the mandatory 156lb lightweight limit for his next outing against Leavitt. And it appears the Liverpudlian has made significant progress after his coach Paul Reed posted an image of the pair alongside Cage Warriors star Luke Riley, with the caption: "Camp done and dusted."
The rising star can be seen stood topless showing off an impressive ripped physique in a stark contrast to his appearance when beginning his training. Pimblett added a comment to the post on Twitter, writing: "We are ready to kill! [Paul Reed] has got us in prime condition for four KO’s for team @nextgenmmalpool. Next weekend me, @LukeRileyMMA, @nathanfletcher_ and the @MeatballMolly are coming and you better f****** believe it."
Pimblett has previously claimed he still had to lose around 30lb for his fast-approaching fight when joining Gary Neville on the Overlap earlier this month. Prior to his last victory, Pimblett had vowed not to pile on the pounds after coming into criticism from many inside the sport. However his promise failed to materialise with Pimblett even tipping the scales at around 205lb during his time away in America.
The 27-year-old admitted that he struggles to keep himself away from food and regularly eats 7,000 calories a day when away from the rigours of a training camp. "I might grow up a bit more and actually keep my weight down a bit," he responded when Neville asked about his weight. "I was in America drinking gallons of Coke every day, eating 7,000 calories a day, easy.
"The Monday after my fight I got home and I just went for food the next day. I went for Nando's and then I was just eating chocolate all day. I counted my calories and I ate 11,000 calories the Monday after I fought. That was without trying, my cheeks were all like [puffed out]. I'll do 5kg overnight, I'd do 10lb in a bath overnight.
"We get put in a bath hot, like a sauna, it's not a nice bath, it's roasting and when you get out your skin is red. You lie on like a towel as well with sleeping bags, they wrap you in a quilt and you lie there and carry on sweating and you just repeat and repeat until you make weight."
