Paddy Pimblett predicts what Jurgen Klopp will do next at Liverpool as Champions League claim made

Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett has predicted a Premier League and Champions League double for Liverpool next season, claiming that the Reds' near misses this season bode well for the coming campaign.

Reds fan Pimblett fights at UFC London this weekend, taking on Jordan Leavitt in a lightweight bout having impressed in two outings in the UFC so far in his career. The 27-year-old is unbeaten and has two 'performance of the night' awards to his name, beating Rodrigo Vargas via submission at the last UFC London event in March.

Pimblett was speaking with BT Sport when making the claim about the club he supports and said that Jurgen Klopp's side's ability to bounce back from defeats is the reason why he was so confident this time around.

When asked where he thought the club would finish this season, he responded confidently, saying that the team would top the league this season and then win the Champions League. "First, we're going to come top of the league," adding: "We're going to win the Champions League.

"After losing the Champions League final and the league by a point - a couple of seasons ago when we lost the Champions League final we won it the next year, same with the league - when we lost the league by a point we won it the next year, we romped it.

"So, I think we're going to do a league and Champions League double next year," he added. Liverpool have won six trophies since Klopp took over the club in 2015, and when asked whether or not he had any advice for the German head coach - he said that none is needed.

"He doesn't need advice from me, the messiah is fine the way he is - he can just crack on as usual because he is the man."

Pimblett also offered his view on Liverpool's next away kit, saying that the white and black shirt with the dizzying design inspired by the city's music scene was better than what has been produced by Merseyside rivals Everton.

"It's alright," he joked. "It's better than Everton's away kit, have you seen that one that's just come out - one of the worst kits I've ever seen."

"It isn't too bad to be honest, especially when you compare it to that one."
