Paddy Pimblett aims furious X-rated rant at critics after controversial UFC win

Paddy Pimblett has issued an X-rated reply to critics who thought he lost his fight against Jared Gordon at UFC 282.

'The Baddy' extended his unbeaten run in the UFC to four fights by winning a controversial unanimous decision against Gordon in the co-main event of the pay-per-view card. Fans and UFC fighters alike have since questioned the decision, with former champion Dominick Cruz tweeting: "Huge L for our judges on that one" whilst Renato Moicano wrote: "the hype is over".

Pimblett, who thinks he won every round of the fight, issued an X-rated rant at the post-fight press conference by telling reporters: "I know I won that fight. I deal in facts and I won an unanimous decision, it wasn't even like it was a split decision.

"I don't care what anyone says. When you look back at the history books, I've got a green marker next to my name so everyone else can suck my a***hole.

How did you score the fight between Paddy Pimblett and Jared Gordon? Let us know in the comments section below

"Look at his face and then look at mine, fights get scored on damage now and I landed a lot more damage. After looking at the stats after the fight, I think I won all three rounds. Control time means nothing, damage does.

"I spoke to him in the back, he said to me 'I thought I won'. I told him he was a tough son of a b**** because he took some big shots and kept walking forward."

Official fight stats show Pimblett landed more significant strikes than Gordon, but the American landed more strikes overall across three rounds. 'The Baddy' didn't land a single takedown whilst Gordon took his opponent down three times, also racking up six and a half minutes of control time.

Gordon seemingly thought he won the first and second round as he chose to hold Pimblett against the fence the entire third round, with UFC boss Dana White being critical of the fighter's tactics. "I thought that Jared Gordon’s gameplan going into the third round was horrible," he said. "You think you won the first two rounds with the judges? How do you know that?

"Why go in there and throw away the third round instead of fighting your a** off and trying to get the win. I have to go after the referee too. A big fight, co-main event, the crowd is going crazy and you’re going to let the fighters stand against the fence for the entire fight?"
