Paddy McGuinness says 'at last' as he reunites with Christine for family festive fun

Paddy McGuinness has shared his delight as he reunited with ex-wife Christine McGuinness for a festive tradition many families will be partaking in - or already have - up and down the country. The pair, who announced they had separated back in July following rumours their 11-year marriage had come to an end, came together with their three children for some Christmas fun.

Top Gear host Paddy and former Real Housewives of Cheshire star Christine both shared sweet videos on Instagram of nine-year-old twins Leo and Penelope, and daughter Felicity, six, helping to put up the Christmas tree in their stunning family home, which they still share as they co-parent their children, who have autism.

And the moving moment is a huge step for the family as for years they couldn't have one at home as the kids found it overwhelming. Christine, 34, said "dreams do come true" as she posted a sweet picture of the siblings captivated by the tree with her Instagram followers.

"I feel like the luckiest lady on earth right now. Dreams do come true," the former model typed. With another post she wrote: "My babies forever. I still remember the years we didn’t have a Christmas tree at home because it would overwhelm them. Look at them now my inspirations."

Paddy, 49, also shared in the joy as the Bolton-born TV star shared his video with his millions of followers. "The tree is up!!!" he posted alongside the video which show the children helping pick out the deocations before showing the family cat sat in its own festive basket underneath the tree.

"Always loved this day right from being a little lad. You done yours yet? I’m officially in Chrimmy mode!!!" Paddy added before being flooded with comments. And while some were distratced by the Santa-themed cat basket, which he says is from Home Bargains if you'e interested, others were quick to share Paddy's pride for his children.

@bexmangan said: "I remember you saying somewhere you could never have a Christmas tree up because the children didn’t like it so this is a massive achievement for you all and it gives us parents of neurodiverse children hope," to which Paddy replied: "Yes. It’s taken a while but we got there."

@ihatelazypeeps commented: "Lovely to see your children getting involved and Millie in the Xmas bed finally lol." And Paddy responded: "At last!" alongside an emojis with a big smile.

But for those interested in the black and white cat, named Millie, Paddy had already given her her own special post in said cat bed last week. Alongside a series of snaps the dad-of-three wrote: "In the true spirit of Christmas I bought Millie With A Willy a Santas sleigh bed. The pure joy of seeing him/her chilling in it was short lived. Swipe left for joy and pain."
